As a specialist lawyer for commercial and corporate law, Dr. Sebastian Link regularly advises shareholders of medium-sized and larger companies on all issues in the area of corporate law. One of his main areas of expertise is advising and representing clients in and out of court in corporate law disputes and he regularly assists shareholders and managing directors in the purchase and sale of companies. In addition to his practice in the field of corporate law, he advises managing directors and employees of medium-sized companies on all issues relating to national and international commercial law, including the examination, drafting and negotiation of complex supply contracts, the advice of his clients in the event of delivery and other performance-related problems and the support of clients in designing their distribution structures.
In addition to his work as an attorney, Dr. Sebastian Link is available to companies and private individuals as a notary to perform any and all notarisation related transactions. Due to his professional specialisation, his focus is on the broad field of processes requiring notarisation in the areas of commercial and corporate law (founding, restructuring and transfer of companies). Another area of his work as notary are real estate transactions of all kinds, in which he continuously supports private individuals and real estate companies. But also the drafting of wills and inheritance deeds, family law documents such as prenuptial agreements and contracts laying down the consequences of divorce as well as powers of attorney and living wills are among the transactions that he performs.
Dr. Sebastian Link was born in Bonn in 1984. He grew up in Siegen and graduated from Siegen’s Am Löhrtor Gymnasium in 2004. After performing community service, he studied law at Rheinische Friedrich Wilhelms University of Bonn. After passing the First State Examination in 2010, he completed his doctoral studies in the field of company and accounting law under Prof. Dr. Rainer Hüttemann, Director of the Institute for Tax Law at the University of Bonn. During his doctoral studies, he worked as a research assistant at Oppenhoff & Partner, Cologne, from 2010 to 2013. This work performed parallel to his doctoral studies, among other things, included several months of employment at the US law firm Lowenstein Sandler in New York City. In 2013, he began his legal clerkship with stages at Siegen Local Court, the Siegen Chamber of Industry and Commerce and with his current partner, Dr. Andreas Schön, for whom he initially worked as an employed lawyer after passing the Second State Examination in 2015. Together with Dr. Andreas Schön and Tim Holzhauer, he founded Dr. Schön Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten mbB in 2018. Dr. Sebastian Link is married and has one child. He speaks German and English.
