Dr. Sebastian Link

As a spe­cial­ist lawyer for com­mer­cial and cor­po­rate law, Dr. Sebas­t­ian Link reg­u­lar­ly advis­es share­hold­ers of medi­um-sized and larg­er com­pa­nies on all issues in the area of cor­po­rate law. One of his main areas of exper­tise is advis­ing and rep­re­sent­ing clients in and out of court in cor­po­rate law dis­putes and he reg­u­lar­ly assists share­hold­ers and man­ag­ing direc­tors in the pur­chase and sale of com­pa­nies. In addi­tion to his prac­tice in the field of cor­po­rate law, he advis­es man­ag­ing direc­tors and employ­ees of medi­um-sized com­pa­nies on all issues relat­ing to nation­al and inter­na­tion­al com­mer­cial law, includ­ing the exam­i­na­tion, draft­ing and nego­ti­a­tion of com­plex sup­ply con­tracts, the advice of his clients in the event of deliv­ery and oth­er per­for­mance-relat­ed prob­lems and the sup­port of clients in design­ing their dis­tri­b­u­tion structures.

In addi­tion to his work as an attor­ney, Dr. Sebas­t­ian Link is avail­able to com­pa­nies and pri­vate indi­vid­u­als as a notary to per­form any and all notari­sa­tion relat­ed trans­ac­tions. Due to his pro­fes­sion­al spe­cial­i­sa­tion, his focus is on the broad field of process­es requir­ing notari­sa­tion in the areas of com­mer­cial and cor­po­rate law (found­ing, restruc­tur­ing and trans­fer of com­pa­nies). Anoth­er area of his work as notary are real estate trans­ac­tions of all kinds, in which he con­tin­u­ous­ly sup­ports pri­vate indi­vid­u­als and real estate com­pa­nies. But also the draft­ing of wills and inher­i­tance deeds, fam­i­ly law doc­u­ments such as prenup­tial agree­ments and con­tracts lay­ing down the con­se­quences of divorce as well as pow­ers of attor­ney and liv­ing wills are among the trans­ac­tions that he performs.

Dr. Sebas­t­ian Link was born in Bonn in 1984. He grew up in Siegen and grad­u­at­ed from Siegen’s Am Löhrtor Gym­na­si­um in 2004. After per­form­ing com­mu­ni­ty ser­vice, he stud­ied law at Rheinis­che Friedrich Wil­helms Uni­ver­si­ty of Bonn. After pass­ing the First State Exam­i­na­tion in 2010, he com­plet­ed his doc­tor­al stud­ies in the field of com­pa­ny and account­ing law under Prof. Dr. Rain­er Hüt­te­mann, Direc­tor of the Insti­tute for Tax Law at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Bonn. Dur­ing his doc­tor­al stud­ies, he worked as a research assis­tant at Oppen­hoff & Part­ner, Cologne, from 2010 to 2013. This work per­formed par­al­lel to his doc­tor­al stud­ies, among oth­er things, includ­ed sev­er­al months of employ­ment at the US law firm Lowen­stein San­dler in New York City. In 2013, he began his legal clerk­ship with stages at Siegen Local Court, the Siegen Cham­ber of Indus­try and Com­merce and with his cur­rent part­ner, Dr. Andreas Schön, for whom he ini­tial­ly worked as an employed lawyer after pass­ing the Sec­ond State Exam­i­na­tion in 2015. Togeth­er with Dr. Andreas Schön and Tim Holzhauer, he found­ed Dr. Schön Part­ner­schaft von Recht­san­wäl­ten mbB in 2018. Dr. Sebas­t­ian Link is mar­ried and has two childs. He speaks Ger­man and English.
