Tim Holzhauer

Tim Holzhauer is an attor­ney at law and notary pub­lic. In his prac­tice as attor­ney, he per­forms wide-rang­ing activ­i­ties for medi­um-sized com­pa­nies and their share­hold­ers on a reg­u­lar basis in all areas of com­mer­cial and cor­po­rate law — includ­ing in transna­tion­al mat­ters. One focus of his com­mer­cial law prac­tice is on nation­al and inter­na­tion­al dis­tri­b­u­tion law, in con­nec­tion with which he in par­tic­u­lar assists his clients in the draft­ing of con­tracts as well as in projects. Tim Holzhauer also advis­es clients on all ques­tions and issues involv­ing com­pa­ny and part­ner­ship law, sup­port­ing them with his spe­cial exper­tise in com­plex cor­po­rate trans­ac­tions (merg­ers and acquisitions).

In his prac­tice as a notary pub­lic, Tim Holzhauer focus­es on cor­po­rate law tasks for com­pa­nies and busi­ness per­sons, reg­u­lar­ly sup­port­ing for­eign par­ties in mat­ters of con­cern to them. Anoth­er focus of his notar­i­al work is real estate law, where he advis­es and assists pri­vate indi­vid­u­als, real estate com­pa­nies, prop­er­ty devel­op­ers and project devel­op­ers in real estate trans­ac­tions of all kinds. But his reg­u­lar offi­cial busi­ness also ranges to include notari­sa­tions in con­nec­tion with inher­i­tance and estate law issues as well as fam­i­ly law arrangements.

Tim Holzhauer was born in Siegen in 1981. After grad­u­at­ing from Siegen’s Am Löhrtor Gym­na­si­um in 2000 and per­form­ing com­mu­ni­ty ser­vice, he stud­ied law at Rheinis­che-Friedrich-Wil­helms-Uni­ver­si­ty in Bonn. He passed the First State Exam­i­na­tion in 2008, after which he worked as research assis­tant in the field of for­eign invest­ment law and Euro­pean Union law under Prof. Dr. Markus Kaltenborn, Pro­fes­sor­ship for Pub­lic Law, Finan­cial Con­sti­tu­tion­al Law and Health Law and at the Insti­tute for Inter­na­tion­al Law of Peace and Armed Con­flict at Ruhr Uni­ver­si­ty Bochum. In 2011, he began his legal clerk­ship, per­form­ing var­i­ous stages at the Cham­ber for Com­mer­cial Mat­ters at the Dis­trict Court of Siegen, the City of Siegen and with his cur­rent part­ner, Dr. Andreas Schön, for whom he ini­tial­ly worked as an employed lawyer after pass­ing the Sec­ond State Exam­i­na­tion in 2013. Togeth­er with Dr. Andreas Schön and Dr. Sebas­t­ian Link, he found­ed Dr. Schön Part­ner­schaft von Recht­san­wäl­ten mbB in 2018. In 2019 he was appoint­ed notary pub­lic. Tim Holzhauer is mar­ried and has 4 chil­dren. He speaks Ger­man and English.
